It has taken me all my life to understand it is not necessary to understand everything. ~Rene Coty~
Sometimes, the circumstances and events that we are confronted with, simply defy all logic, reason, or our immediate ability to understand their significance in our lives. When you find yourself in that situation, don’t wear yourself out grappling with the “why”, “how” or “when” of it all. Simply stand on faith, in the knowledge that all things work together for good, and that understanding is progressive. When the time is right, and you are fully prepared to comprehend the matter…placing things in proper perspective…complete understanding will come.
Thought for the day
God speaks to all of us in his unique language of love. Sometimes, he sends angels, sometimes neighbors, fellow workers or even total strangers. Sometimes his revelation comes through the radio, a bible study or a movie…although probably not one like Rambo. The difficulty for us is to be so mindful of his omnipresence and power each and everyday that we are always ready to look just a bit beyond the visible for the lesson. When the time is right and the student is ready the teacher will appear…and it may not be someone you expect!
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” ~Isaiah 55:8-11 (NIV)~
Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. ~Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB)~
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. ~Romans 8:28 (NIV)~
