Joy In The Morning…
You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in your hair. ~Chinese Proverb~
It’s natural to feel sorrow over certain things that happen in our lives, but to continue to languish in that sorrow can become an extremely destructive force. Knowing where within your hope lies, can and will turn that sorrow back to joy, and provide once again a zest for life. Bad things happen, but the simple truth is, we must go on. It is a conscious decision and choice, whether to go forth with joy, or remain in pain.
Thought for the day
In the lives of addicts pain is inevitable and necessary but misery will always remain optional…as long as we work a recovery program!
Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
~Psalm 30:4,5 (Amp)~
Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day. For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!]… ~2 Corinthians 4:16,17 (Amp)~
It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.
