Commit to CANI! — Constant and Never-ending Improvement —
Do not allow yourself to become overly complacent or content with the gifts and understanding that have been given you. In this life, there will always be greater wisdom, knowledge and revelation to be gained…it is indeed a substance of life. Be open to new experiences and gaining deeper understanding…seeking it while it may be found.
Thought for the day
Are you through learning about recovery? I am not…and I have been around 12 step programs for 31 years! The day I feel like I have arrived is the day I will be embarking on the journey back to addiction! Most addicts I know who are no longer sponsored or who after 1 or 2 years of sobriety feel no longer the need to work the steps or devote themselves to a strict program of spiritual renewal have one foot in the door and one out the door. Can you commit to CANI? Will you commit to CANI? I sure hope so; otherwise I will be reading your obituary in the Book of Life in Recovery!
Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near…”For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. ” For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. ~Isaiah 55:6,8,9 (NASB)~
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: ~Isaiah 28:9,10 (KJV)~
Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. ~2 Timothy 2:15 (Amp)~
So I say unto you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened.~Jesus, Luke 11:9,10 (Amp)~
