Who Said You Couldn’t?
Scientifically a bee is too fat to fly. It’s not aerodynamic enough and it’s wings are too short. But why does it still fly you ask? Because nobody told him he couldn’t! ~author unknown~
Too often, great dreams and aspirations are not realized because we listen to all the voices that tell us why something can’t work, or why we may not have the ability to accomplish it. Let’s not allow the voices of those that know not what is in our hearts, to determine who we are, what we might be, or whether we can realize a worthy goal. Let us listen to that inner voice that will guide us to success in anything that we are willing to believe in with all our hearts.
Thought for the day
Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. We have so often told ourselves that we are no good, less than or incomplete of the essence required for the fulfillment of some dream, that we instantly default to that mindset when considering the desires of our heart. At some point and time, if we stay sober and do our work, this is part of the psychic change we must experience in recovery. The idea that we are either unprepared or not deserving of our desires is a lie and is Satan’s preferred way of keeping good people from being “all that we can be”. Let us go forward today with the mind of God, knowing that thru the gift of the holy spirit in us…anything is possible. Why… because we believe in and are supported by Our Heavenly Father.
When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. Then He touched their eyes, saying, according to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in me] be it done to you; And their eyes were opened. ~Matthew 9:28-30 (Amp)~
I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honor to the Father. I will do whatever you ask me to do. Jesus said to his disciples: If you love me, you will do as I command. Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don’t see or know him. But you know the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you. ~John 14:12-17 (CEV)~
