Moments of perception can build into a lifetime of spiritual serenity, as I have excellent reason to know.
Roots of reality, supplanting the neurotic underbrush, will hold fast despite the high winds of the forces which would destroy us,
or which we would use to destroy ourselves.

Thought to Ponder . . .
Serenity isn’t freedom from the storm; it is peace within the storm.

Hello everyone, my name is Giselle, and I am an Alcoholic. I will try to keep it simple, since that helps me find serenity these days. Before I found the Fellowship and welcomed it into my life, my life was chaotic and serenity was only a dream. During my first year I desperately sought serenity, which seemed to work in exactly the opposite way. Today I find serenity inside myself — the last place I looked for it. It is really something that has to do with acceptance of where I am and how I allow myself to feel, not just react, to life’s bumps in the road. All I know is that I cannot do it alone, and I thank you and my HP for allowing me to find serenity, one day at a time.
