What Are You Afraid Of?
Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered and no one was there.
Until you learn to face your fears with the steadfast resolve that everything will work out for good, you will never realize your full potential. When fear and doubt are replaced with faith and trust, amazing things begin to happen…doors begin to open, opportunities begin to materialize, and a whole new world of possibilities will unfold before you. Isn’t it time to put those fears to rest once and for all…today?
Thought for the day
The 12 Step program gives us a proven methodology by which we can, with God’s help, and our sponsor’s wise direction put to rest our deepest fears. It is initially called a 4th step inventory and it offers us, along with steps 5, 6, and 7, a chance to give up the high cost of living a life grounded in unreasonable fears. By identifying, naming the fear and by finding (in most cases) its root we can then, ask God to remove it from us. How are you doing today? Are you ruled by your fears or have you experienced the freedom that comes from doing a fearless moral inventory of ourselves?
I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
~Jesus (Luke 12:32)~
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us. ~Romans 8:14-17,28,31~
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. ~1 John 4:18~
