11-01: Appreciating Where You Are…

Appreciating Where You Are…

Quote
Your big opportunity may be right where you are now. ~Napoleon Hill~

Meditation
Oftentimes, we are so intent on looking elsewhere for opportunities, that we miss those that are set before us right where we are.  Trust that you have been placed where you are for a reason.  Appreciate what has been given you, and be diligent to put forth your best efforts to grow and develop where you have been planted.  The increase, and unfolding blessings that result, will become apparent.  Being faithful in the little things will return great reward.  Trust that when the time is right, new doors of opportunity will open, after you have been faithful and diligent (and achieve satisfaction) where you are.

Thought for the day
Are you OK in being right here, right now, at this very same spot where you’ve been planted.  If you are addicted to anything, chances are you are trying to recover in 12 step meetings.  Are you OK with that?  If not, get over it!   You are in this place, in this time because you are meant to recover.  That is God’s will for you. And the quicker you can accept and deal with your “stuff” the quicker you can begin to live and be a part of God’s plan for you.

Scriptures
Abram said to Lot, “We are close relatives.  We shouldn’t argue, and our men shouldn’t be fighting one another.  There is plenty of land for you to choose from.  Let’s separate.  If you go north, I’ll go south; if you go south, I’ll go north.”…And when Lot looked around, he saw there was plenty of water in the Jordan Valley.  All the way to Zoar the valley was as green as the garden of the LORD or the land of Egypt.  So Lot chose the whole Jordan Valley for himself, and as he started toward the east, he and Abram separated.  Abram stayed in the land of Canaan…After Abram and Lot had gone their separate ways, the LORD said to Abram:  Look around to the north, south, east, and west.  I will give you and your family all the land you can see.  It will be theirs forever!  I will give you more descendants than there are specks of dust on the earth, and someday it will be easier to count the specks of dust than to count your descendants.  Now walk back and forth across the land, because I am giving it to you.
~Genesis 13:5-13,14-17 (CEV)~

Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won’t be faithful in large ones.  If you cheat even a little, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?  And if you are not faithful with other people’s money, why should you be trusted with money of your own? ~Luke 16:10-12 (NLT)~

His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant!  You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little;  I will put you in charge of much.  Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys. ~Matthew 25:21 (Amp)~

About SLAA Tilburg
