To Boldly Go…
Most of our obstacles would melt away if, instead of cowering before them, we should make up our minds to walk boldly through them. ~Orison Swett Marden~
Obstacles will always be encountered on the path to a goal. The key lies in learning to expect those challenges, and with surety of purpose, press on through them. Once the decision has been made that nothing will stand in your way…nothing will.
Thought for the day
Part of living with surety of purpose is to understand God’s words and what he desires from us. Our will to conform to His is what our challenge is about. Once we can own that truth then everything else will begin to fall into place. Do I see God’s words and instructions in the daily messages he sends? When I read meditations and spiritual material do I need help understanding the messages contained…and if I do am I willing to ask for help? Am I relying on my sponsor and or my spiritual director for help to get down to causes and conditions? We need to be strong in our faith and understanding of God in order to go boldly thru life without becoming overwhelmed by the obstacles we will find on the way home.
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. ~Hebrews 4:16 (Amp)~
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. ~Ephesians 6:19,20~
