Come On And Dance…
Dance like no one is watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like no one is listening, Live like it’s heaven on earth. ~William Purkey~
Quit worrying about what everyone else might think, or what they might say…they’re going to think it, or say it anyway! Be true to yourself, and enjoy the perfect law of liberty. Express joy in all that you have, and are, and watch your troubles begin to melt away.
Thought for the day
When was the last time you laughed in a 12 step meeting? Check out those who appear joyful? Why is it so that they can smile in a place where such serious issues are discussed? How can we hear about the calamities brought on by addiction and yet be witnesses to fellow members who do not hesitate to congregate after the meetings and share laughter. The answer lies in their heart. When one has a joyful heart it is evident and contagious. A joyful heart is a surrendered heart. It is surrendered to the battles of life, knowing full well, that no matter what happens he/she will be taken care of. A joyful heart is one that is accompanied by a sincere smile, warmth that emanates from within. There are such fortunate ones. They do not wear their addiction like a strait jacket. They know who they are and are not defined by their addiction. They live life with a desire to follow God’s will and a true willingness to help others. How about you?
Are you joyful or miserable? Only you can decide.
And David danced before the LORD with all his might;…And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart…And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with tambourines, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
~2 Samuel 6:14,15; 1 Chronicles 13:8~
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. ~John 8:32,36~
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ~Romans 12:2~
