An age is called Dark, not because the light fails to shine, but because people refuse to see it. ~James Michener~
Too often, the things of this world would have us focus on all that is bad or wrong in our lives. Make the conscious decision to instead focus on that which is good and right…for light will always overcome darkness. Can you see the light?
Thought for the day
It is not enough to concentrate on what not to do. If you are living your life focused on not drinking, not acting out… then you are actually focusing on drinking and acting out and you are most definitely not moving towards the light. Develop an attitude of gratitude, stay in the now and focus on becoming a godly human being. Then and only then will you be working on your recovery (Light) and not on your problem (Darkness).
And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. ~Isaiah 42:16~
Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you-rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. ~Isaiah 60:1 (Amp)~
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ~John 8:12~
Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye (your conscience) is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound and is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness. Be careful therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness. ~Jesus (Luke 11:34,35-Amp)~
