A crazy idea…perhaps!
I never came upon any of my discoveries through the process of rational thinking.
Sometimes, in order to get a real breakthrough, it becomes necessary to think “outside the box”. What you are feeling called or led to do, may not make any sense to your logical, rational intellect. Learning to trust that still small voice at those times, can lead to some of the most unexpected and exhilarating results that you will ever experience. Trust, and obey…you can’t walk on the water, if you are afraid to get out of the boat!
Thought for the day
The problem intellectuals have making this program is their intellect! Recovery begins in the spirit, the heart and the soul…not in the head. Did you ever hear the saying “Bring the body and the head will follow”? That’s the way the program works. Stop trying to figure it out! Your best thinking got you here! Learn to listen instead of hearing. Don’t fight the simplicity of the program and above all stay in the now…where you can’t get in your head!
And in the fourth watch [between 3:00–6:00 a.m.] of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified and said, It is a ghost! And they screamed out with fright. But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I AM! Stop being afraid! And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water. He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus. But when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me [from death]! Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and caught and held him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?
~Matthew 14:25-31 (Amp)~
When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen. ~Ephesians 3:14-21~
