A “wish” changes nothing. A “decision” changes everything!
We can “wish” for things to be different in our lives all we want, but, if we ever want to see lasting, permanent change, we must make the conscious “decision” that things will indeed be different, and follow that up with the corresponding actions. In so doing we begin to see things from that new perspective.
Faith is the “substance” of things hoped (wished) for. Therefore, if you ever want your hopes and dreams to have substance, you must develop an unswerving faith, decide that they shall in fact be made manifest in your life, and then match that desire with the fire of your actions.
Thought for the day
If people were able to get a replay of my day yesterday… my thoughts and my actions, could I be convicted of being a true person of faith seeking to recover from this dreadful disease and growing in the image and likeness of Our Creator?
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we} hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. For by [faith–trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the Word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible…For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. ~Hebrews 11:1-3,6 (Amp.)~
…I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life… ~Deuteronomy 30:19~
…choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
