Go For It…
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure…than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. ~Theodore Roosevelt~
Life is meant to be lived…give it everything you’ve got, and dare to reach for the stars. What have you got to lose? If you fall down, you can always get right back up and try again! The only real loss to be suffered is in reflecting on what might have been, had you only given it a chance. Now, this does not mean you throw caution to the wind and get into behavior that my lead to a slip. We all need to act guided by the principles we are learning in sobriety…restraint, caution, examination of conscience, etc. What this meditation addresses are those areas in our lives where we have allowed fear to cripple us and make us inactive and useless.
Thought for the day
Pray as if everything depended on God and act as if everything depended on you. Laugh loud, love passionately, be not afraid to seek God’s counsel and listen to His voice, be moved by the Spirit within you and when prompted…. go for it.
Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. ~Jesus, Matthew 7:7,8 (Amp)~
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. ~Isaiah 60:1-3~
