A Now Word…
“Now” is the operative word. Everything you put in your way is just a method of putting off the hour when you could actually be doing your dream. You don’t need endless time and perfect conditions. Do it now. Do it today. Do it for twenty minutes and watch your heart start beating. ~Barbara Sher~
A lifetime can be spent waiting for the perfect conditions, the necessary provision, or just the right moment to begin living one’s dream. Take a step of faith, and simply begin to walk in that which you know your destiny to be. See how providence moves, circumstances realign, doors open and divine connections materialize, to provide you with exactly what you need, at just the right moment…to accomplish that which you have set forth to do. A journey of a thousand miles begins with that first step.
Thought for the day
People are so very confused trying to make plans, as if we were somehow gifted with the ability to control outcomes. God, in the meantime allows us to play out our sick comedy-drama. At times we even set deadlines for doing the obvious like…living out the rest of our lives as authentic men and women of character, moral principles and resolve. And how about those who wish to have children, but only after accomplishing specific successes and status or achieving certain financial and or educational goals? Sadly almost all who wait for this “magical set” of conditions to materialize often deny themselves the greatest gift of life…parenthood.
The same can be said for recovery… we find ourselves procrastinating on all common sense decisions, like sponsoring, attending meetings or finding a sponsor and beginning to work the steps. So how about giving up on finding “the right time” to begin a life rooted in spiritual principles and just get started NOW?
…And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion? ~Esther 4:14 (Amp)~
And He summoned the twelve and began to send them out in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits; and He instructed them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a mere staff–no bread, no bag, no money in their belt–but to wear sandals; and He added, “Do not put on two tunics.” They went out and preached that men should repent. And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.
~Mark 6:7-9,12,13 (NASB)~
As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.
~2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV)~
This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
~Psalm 118:24 (NASB)~
