Dear Worldwide Intergroups, Lone Groups, & Journal Enthusiasts!
Welcome to the monthly outreach newsletter from the Marketing Director for the Journal, S.L.A.A.’s official bimonthly international magazine full of the latest news, events, artwork, and our members’ many unique stories of personal recovery. “It’s a meeting in print.”
PLEASE DISTRIBUTE the following announcements and flyers to your intergroup and meetings.
The Journal is partnering with the 2011 International Recovery Convention (IRC) for a series of guided meditations to be published in the Journal and read aloud at the convention in Los Angeles July 15-17, 2011 and possibly recorded for a CD of SLAA-related Guided Meditations. We are seeking original guided meditations written and contributed by members on the theme of “Power In Surrender.” Please print and circulate the attached flyer:
2. While the Journal strives to get back on schedule, there has been an additional shipping delay at the S.L.A.A. office for the May-Jun and July-August issues. The General Manager (GM) apologizes for any inconvenience, and reports that both Journals have been shipped and should be received soon. The GM has announced that a statement regarding the delay will be forthcoming in the next FWS Newsletter.
Please relay this announcement to your meetings. We need your help. In the spirit of our ongoing efforts to produce the Journal in a timely manner, please accept the invitation to attend Conference Journal Committee teleconference meetings at 3pm PST/6pm EST on the first Saturday of every month. Your voices matter, especially to the group conscience.
Here is the next Question Of The Day:
