Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many…not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens~
There is nothing that can be done to change the past…nor can one move forward, while looking back. So often, we have a tendency to dwell on past mistakes and perceived losses, and to take for granted just how blessed we truly are. Take some time to reflect upon all that you have learned, and the many things that you have to be thankful for.
Thought for the day
Live for this day only, and go forward with confident expectation, in the hope that God’s daily plan set before you is one of personal success. Let us remember that if we stay in the solution, with our feet firmly planted, conscious of the present and focused on staying in God’s will and not in the past or in the future at anytime during the day we will be able to focus on our many blessings
I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward. So let those [of us] who are spiritually mature and full-grown have this mind and hold these convictions… ~Philippians 3:13-15 (Amp)~
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things…for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. ~Philippians 4:8,11-13 (NASB)~
