An Encouraging Word…
Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless.
It takes so little time and effort to give praise or encouragement to another, yet how often we overlook the opportunity. Consider the times when just such a word was spoken to us, in recognition of a task well done, or simply to bolster our spirits when we were feeling low. Let us all strive to be examples of strength and encouragement to one another, as often as the opportunity arises. We may never know the profound and lasting impact that it has on a person’s life, and sense of self-worth.
Thought for the day
There is a tremendous sense of satisfaction and strength which comes in knowing that you are appreciated, or that someone truly cares. You might also just find that your own perspective and condition changes in the process!
But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see. ~Deuteronomy 3:28~
For I am yearning to see you, that I may impart and share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen and establish you; That is, that we may be mutually strengthened and encouraged and comforted by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. ~Romans 1:11,12 (Amp)~
And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. ~Hebrews 10:24,25 (Amp)~
