Again and again, the impossible problem is solved when we see that the problem is only a tough decision waiting to be made. ~Robert Schuller~
Problems only remain problems as long as we refuse to decide on an appropriate course of action. It’s been said that there are no problems, only opportunities. And it’s true that within each one, lays hidden opportunity; an opportunity to see what we are made of…an opportunity to grow through the experience…an opportunity to choose the correct response…an opportunity to gain victory over that which besets us. Determine to be decisive when faced with various trials and steadfast in your resolve to, by faith, see your way through them, and see how quickly they become but minor stepping stones on the path to your ultimate destination! The worst thing that can happen if we are not able to discern what God’s will is for us in the process of deciding is that we learn from the experience of making a wrong decision ……..and that is not so bad.
Thought for the day
Am I able to dissect a problem, look at all the sides of the issue, discuss it with my sponsor and friends, pray about it, ask for God’s guidance and then make my choice as I believe God would have me? Or am I crippled by fear of making wrong decisions which leaves me in a state of eternal confusion and emotional turmoil whenever I am called to decide a course of action?
These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold–and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. ~1 Peter 1:6-8 (NLT)~
I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. ~Romans 12:1,2 (Amp)~
