Times and Seasons…
Learn to get in touch with silence within yourself, and know that everything in this life has purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences, all events are blessings given to us to learn from. ~Elizabeth Kubler-Ross~
There truly are no coincidences, and virtually every circumstance does indeed contain within it, a lesson to be learned and an opportunity to grow from the experience. It’s when we can begin to view all things from this perspective that peace will abide in us, throughout any storm of life, and no matter what the outward conditions may be. The end result is wisdom and understanding, and a faith that cannot be shaken.
Thought for the day
As a young man I never thought of the relationship or meaning of events. Today, I look for reasons, explanations, motives, and connectedness of events always mindful that God speaks to us in many ways. I know not the time and season it is but I do know that God knows I am searching for meaning and instruction. For now, that is enough. How about you, do you know your time and season?
Everything on earth has its own time and its own season. There is a time for birth and death, planting and reaping, for killing and healing, destroying and building, for crying and laughing, weeping and dancing, for throwing stones and gathering stones, embracing and parting. There is a time for finding and losing, keeping and giving, for tearing and sewing, listening and speaking. There is also a time for love and hate, for war and peace. What do we gain by all of our hard work? I have seen what difficult things God demands of us. God makes everything happen at the right time. Yet none of us can ever fully understand all he has done, and he puts questions in our minds about the past and the future. I know the best thing we can do is to always enjoy life, because God’s gift to us is the happiness we get from our food and drink and from the work we do. Everything God has done will last forever; nothing he does can ever be changed. God has done all this, so that we will worship him.
~Ecclesiastes 3:1-14 (CEV)~
Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!
~Psalm 46:10 (Amp)~
