Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Happiness truly is a state of mind, not something which is predicated on our condition, circumstances, or even how we are being treated. It is that unspeakable joy that abides deep within…knowing from whence we come, and where we are going, that ultimately determines our level of contentment and happiness.
Thought for the day
Where am I going and how do I feel about my “chosen” destination? It is absolutely critical that we ask ourselves these questions regularly. If we do not like our life today it is never too late to “re-ticket” ourselves on our journey but as in business, we must know where we are, where we are going and how we are going to get there.
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
~Jesus / John 15:1,3,9,11 (NASB)~
Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Hades,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.
~Acts 2:26-28 (NKJV)~
In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory… 1 Peter 1:6-8 (NASB)~
