God does not offer us a way out of the testings of life. He offers
us a way through, and that makes all the difference. ~W.T. Purkizer~
Challenges and trials are a natural part of life. Living in victory is not a function of never having them, but in pressing through them when they do arise. Generally, we are destined to continually face the same ones, time and again, until we do. Don’t keep circling the same mountain…take a stand now and feel the exhilaration that comes in laying them to rest, once and for all. Press on, and press through. You’ll never attain a lasting sense of peace, until you do!
Thought for the day
There is a huge difference between the challenges and trials of life and addictions. The latter does not require a solution…it requires a complete surrender. Learn the difference between dealing with our obstacles and trials by strength of character and self determination and dealing with our addictions. One will not go away through the application of intellect, will power and courage. Do you know the difference? Surrender and Win!
…May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; ~1 Peter 1:2-7 (NASB)~
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you… ~1 Peter 4:12-14 (NKJV)~
