Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.
~Dr. Wayne Dyer~
The potential for abundance in every area of our lives truly does surround us; simply waiting for those that will understand…that it all has already been given to us. The only thing that remains is to fully recognize that fact, grab hold of it, and begin to walk in and experience that truth.
Thought for the day
As addicts we have a tendency to blame others, God and conditions outside of ourselves for our lack of faith and commitment to recovery.
When we live each day with the knowledge and conviction that God has given us the opportunity to live eternally with Him we are apt to recognize that we need not solve every problem in the world to be happy on it.
All we really need to do is “do the next right thing” as expressed in the 12 Steps and the 2 Commandments that Jesus left us. We can also begin to accept that our lot, whatever it may be, is sufficient for this lifetime. As we trudge this road we can begin to reach out and grab all the gusto that our earthly life offers. We can begin to love ourselves and others as we are meant to and everything will become….abundantly clear.
I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
~Jesus / John 10:9,10 (Amp)~
[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]–To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
~Ephesians 3:19-21 (Amp)~
