3 rules of work- 1. Out of clutter, find simplicity. 2. From discord find harmony.
3. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. ~Albert Einstein~
Almost every real success is borne out of tremendous difficulty. When we learn to focus on solutions, rather than on the problem itself, we begin to develop an entirely new perspective. Do you have a problem today? Get excited…that means you’ve been given yet another opportunity for breakthrough!
Thought for the day
If you look at Einstein’s quote above and read it with the eyes of recovery you will find the inventory process- 1. Out of the clutter of our minds we find simplicity. That simplicity comes from looking at who we are for the 1st time in our lives and seeing for the first time just how sick we really are. We need not find the Holy Grail, no, all we need to do is just not act out today and life will get better. 2. From discord we find harmony. As we steamroll people in our path towards self reliance and independence most of us get used to living a life of discord. Why…because of our refusal and inability to live life on life’s terms. The truth is we are always at odds with someone or something and when we are not, we just pick on ourselves. Anything to get us pissed enough to excuse addictive behavior. Now through the process of discovering what we are really like we get an opportunity to glance at harmony! All we will need to do is “let go and let God”. 3. Finally in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. What better place to find opportunity than in the middle steps 4, 5, 6 and 7? Sure it is difficult and that is why we can’t do it alone. But many of us have experienced profound changes while in the inventory process as we let go of those character defects, mainly selfishness and self centeredness that have been blocking us form the sunlight of the spirit. Oh yes there is difficulty but there is far more opportunity than misery available to you…if you are willing to pay the price.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. ~Romans 8:18~
Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you. But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory [full of radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph [exultantly]. If you are censured and suffer abuse [because you bear the name of Christ, blessed [are you-happy, fortunate, to be envied, with life-joy, and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward condition], because the Spirit of glory, the Spirit of God, is resting upon you… ~1 Peter 4:12-14 (Amp)~
