Rainy Days & Mondays…
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain… ~Author Unknown~
A lifetime can be spent waiting for everything to be just so, and all the storms of life to pass, before beginning to enjoy life. Take heed, for one day you will look around and discover, that all those moments were indeed, your life. Live for this day, and this moment…Stay in the now! Don’t allow circumstances to dictate who you are, how you feel, or control your peace and joy. Understand and take comfort in the fact that peace and joy come from that which is abiding within you, not from things external.
Thought for the day
Before we got in recovery lack of power was our dilemma. As we progress in recovery lack of dilemmas becomes our power. We cease to battle and try to control everything about us (external conditions) and gain power in our dependence in God, for we know that all we are responsible for is the process by which we deal with everything; God is in charge of all results. And we therefore relish the power that we gain from our dependence on God for all things.
That is our secret power, we have finally learned to deal with people, places and things. That my friends, is real power and independence; to deal with life on life’s terms! How are you doing with your rainy days and Mondays/
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. ~Psalm 34:19 (NIV)~
Surely it will be well with your remnant; Surely I will cause the enemy to intercede with you In the time of adversity and in the time of affliction. ~Jeremiah 15:11 (NKJV)~
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] ~John 16:33 (Amp)~
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. ~2 Corinthians 4:17, 18 (NLT)~
