When one door closes another one opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
~Alexander Graham Bell~
Don’t dwell on past mistakes, failures or lost opportunities. Put the past behind you once and for all…learn from it and move on! Pay attention to what presents itself to you today, being ever vigilant for new opportunities to learn, and to grow, and to develop into all that you might become. Allow yourself to experience life to the fullest, free from the shackles and burdens of that which lies behind, your addiction, and striving toward that which lies ahead, a relationship with God that is all encompassing.
Thought for the day
There are many doors to choose from…you can choose the door to the Hotel California where you can be greeted by the Master of Lies…such a lovely place. Not! There is even a door to the “easier softer way”! I hear it is a revolving door that never stops and leads nowhere. What door are you knocking on today? Choose wisely…it can be a deadly choice!
So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I myself am the door for the sheep. I am the door; anyone who enters in through me will be saved. He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture.
~Jesus (John 10:7,9 Amp.)
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ~Revelation 3:20~
And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
~2 Corinthians 3:18 (Amp)~
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. ~2 Corinthians 5:17~
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
~Philippians 3:13,14 (NASB)~
