Prayer is asking…
You don’t always get what you ask for, but you never get what you don’t ask for…unless it’s contagious! ~Franklyn Broude~
What is it that you want for your life? What are your aspirations, dreams, and desires? Don’t be afraid to ask for those things necessary to accomplish them! You cannot begin to receive all that is available to you without first asking for them. And if at first you don’t receive them, continue to ask, until you do. As Wayne Gretzky put it, "one hundred percent of the shots you don’t take, don’t go in".
Thought for the day
Yes, life can be tough, especially for us addicts. We feel too much, we complain too much, we resist too much, we want too much. But do we pray too much? If our answer to life’s difficulties is of a spiritual nature (our recovery program tells us so) are we praying too much or not enough?
So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. ~Jesus / Luke 11:9,10 (Amp)~
And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
~Jesus / Matthew 21:22 (NKJV)~
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." ~Jesus / John 14:12-14 (NASB)~
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
~Jesus / John 15:16 (NLT)~
