To sit quiet and think, is the hardest thing a person can do, for when he does, all the demons of the universe show up and try to keep him from the truth. But these demons must be faced, and then slain, in order to live a life worth living.
Fear is like a cancer…once it invades the soul; it can quickly spread and consume a person, paralyzing them and keeping them from realizing their potential. Don’t allow it to gain a foothold in your life. It’s natural to feel fear at times. The key is to face it when it does arise, and overcome it. You will most assuredly find, that whatever it was you feared, wasn’t such a big threat after all. The surest way to prevent fear from becoming a way of life is to stay in the now. Fear cannot exist if we are present and concentrating on whatever is happening now.
Thought for the day
Do I still allow fear to cripple me and send me under the sheets? If so, am I getting better at dealing with it? Do I share that fear with others and bring it to the light or am I still perversely interested in holding on to it? When will I grow up and courageously face these fears that keep me bound?
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. ~Job 3:25~
There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].
~1 John 4:18 (Amp.)~
Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. ~Jesus – Luke 12:32 (Amp.)~
