Our destiny changes with our thought; we shall become what we wish to become, do what we wish to do, when our habitual thought corresponds with our desire. ~Orison S. Marden~
Everything first begins with a thought or an idea, which we begin to entertain and give place to in our mind. That thought then begins to take form, and shapes the words we speak…our words in turn effect our actions…and ultimately, our actions will shape our destiny. Learning to control one’s thought-life therefore, is very simply one of the essential ingredients to living a victorious life.
Thought for the day
If you resolve to be a godly person, then you will be a godly person. If that’s too hard you can look behind door #3 and see what you get!
Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. ~Proverbs 16:3 (AMP)~
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you! ~Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)~
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he… ~Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)~
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. ~Philippians 4:6-8 (NLT)~
