You’ve got to say, "I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it." It’s called perseverance. ~Lee J. Iacocca~
When you have a vision for something BIG, don’t allow initial failures or setbacks to keep you from realizing it. Stay focused on the vision, knowing that every obstacle that comes along in your pursuit of it, is merely bringing you one step closer to its’ attainment. Colonel Sanders (Kentucky Fried Chicken) traveled the entire country by car, and had to approach over 12,000 restaurants, trying to get them to take a chance on his "secret recipe"…all at the age of 65, while living on a $105/month Social Security check!!! Now that’s perseverance!
Thought for the Day
Do I have the Honesty, Courage and Willingness to continue on this journey to Holiness that my God calls me to? Am I willing to pay the price? Do I learn from my failures or do I use those as an excuse to crumble under the weight of Truth and return to my throne, my porcelain seat?
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy]…I know that there is nothing better for them than to be glad and to get and do good as long as they live; and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor–it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it. And God does it so that men will [reverently] fear Him [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is]. ~Ecclesiastes 3:11-14 (Amp)~
So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. ~Jesus, Luke 11:9,10 (Amp)~
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end; ~Hebrews 3:14~
