Every day we are faced with making choices between alternatives that are available to us. Even indecision is a choice. Determine your course with confidence, allowing that inner voice, and what you know is just and right, to spur you on and be your guide…then live every day to the fullest, choosing to accept only the best that life has for you.
Isn’t it great that today we have choices? When we were out there doing our thing, we did not have any choice. Life was going to be the same, day in or day out. Sure the events might have changed but we knew that come sometime during the day we were going to do our thing. That’s what we lived for! Come the “magical” hour we were no longer present to anything or anyone in this world. How very sad…in order to feel alive, we had to check out! That is the way of addiction. Let’s all rejoice today in the knowledge that even though our life may not have gotten easier, we do have choices. Each and everyday we have a reprieve from our life of addiction based on our spiritual condition. Today we can choose to be a victim or choose to be free and that…is a beautiful thing!
~Deuteronomy 30:19,20 (NLT)~ This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls… ~Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV)~
And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself any more, but your eyes will constantly behold your Teacher. And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, this is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.
